Dan’s love for fly fishing, teaching, and being on the water runs deep. He lives on the East Branch of the Delaware River and was the chairman of FUDR from 2006-2018 and continues to serve on the board. He created the FUDR One Bug in 2008 and it continues to be the premier fly fishing event on the East Coast raising hundreds of thousands of dollars used to support FUDR and the organizations work to protect the Upper Delaware River System, his home waters for over 30 years. Dan’s love for conservation has brought him to also serve on the boards of Trout Unlimited National, The Wild Salmon Center, The Summit Foundation, and The Code Blue Foundation. Dan enjoys nothing more than teaching young boys and girls about the joys flyfishing can bring into their lives. He has been the lead Instructor at the Bristol Bay Flyfishing Academy in Alaska and has been a mentor for the FUDR/Canfield Camp since it’s inception.
